DaVinci Resolve Free Training Manuals!

Color Correction with DaVinci Resolve is the official Blackmagic Design certified training book that teaches professionals and students how to get the most out of color correction using DaVinci Resolve 15. The guide uses practical, hands-on exercises for you to learn the program’s many grading tools and workflows, and gain an in-depth understanding of advanced techniques and creative industry practices. At the end of the book is a link to a 50-question online proficiency exam where upon completion you’ll receive an official Certificate of Completion from Blackmagic Design.

You hit the floor running in the first lesson starting with restoring a Resolve Archive, setting up a color-managed workflow, understanding the grading workflow, maximizing dynamic range, balancing colours, and an understanding in the differences between the LOG Controls and the Primaries Wheels. At the end of the chapter is a lesson review and short quiz. Even though I’ve freelanced as a colorist on independent films and small corporate jobs in the past, I was still very impressed with the lessons and feel like it was an excellent opportunity to refresh my skills with formal lessons.
